Great news from the French Dept. Ms Prendergast’s 3rd Year class won the top prize for their creative use of the French language in the French Teachers Association competition for their film
Le mystère de la dame blanche. The girls wrote, produced and acted their play in French.
We had success also at senior level as 5th Year students Niamh Casey and Emma Carty Lacey recently attended an awards ceremony in the French Embassy to receive their prizes in the online Francophonie Quiz competition.
5K Fun Run in St. Angela's

Taking a break from the run up to Summer Exams, the students of St. Angela's and their teachers took to the roads today in what we hope could be our annual Fun Run. The event, kindly sponsored by Eirgen, was run to raise funds for Pieta House. Thankfully, the rain held off as over 400 students ran the 5 K course around our gorgeous grounds. The event was all about participation, with runners and walkers of all standards taking part. The class with the highest participation will win a bowling trip. Congratulations to Emer McGlynn and Clodagh Carroll, Mr. Tracey and Ms. Enright who shone among the first arrivals over the finish line. Well done too to our fantastic girls who find the running that bit challenging. It was truly wonderful to see everyone out, enjoying themselves. Thanks to our 4th Year stewards and to Mrs. Carney, Mr. Foley and the PE staff for organising the event.
